Landscaping & Landscape Design
in Gulf Breeze, FL
I'm Eric Bell, owner-operator of Bell's Lawncare — every job run by me, landscaping the Gulf Breeze area since 2018 with ~15 years in the trade. Based just west in Navarre, so Gulf Breeze is a short trip I know well. Landscaping on the peninsula isn't like inland: the salt, sandy soil, and neighborhood standards raise the bar, and this page is about meeting it.
Landscaping for Gulf Breeze Homeowners
Gulf Breeze is affluent and waterfront, and expectations match — in Tiger Point, Villa Venyce, or along the Sound and Bay, curb appeal is part of what your home is worth. I design and install landscapes that hold up to coastal conditions and look sharp. BBB accredited, licensed & insured, 5 star rated.

Salt-Tolerant, Coastal Plant Selection
The biggest mistake on the peninsula is planting material that can't handle salt spray off the water. Selection starts with what survives: muhly grass (tough pink plumes), saw palmetto & sabal palm (native, salt-hardy), pindo palm, yaupon holly (evergreen screening), Indian hawthorn (tidy flowering borders). Palettes built around plants that belong here look established, not struggling — saving replacement costs.

Design for Waterfront Lots & HOA Standards
I design to HOA-manicured expectations — clean bed lines, balanced plantings, intentional materials — and can provide a plan you can submit for approval. Waterfront drainage is the other challenge: sandy soil drains fast in spots, pools in others; I grade beds, amend soil, and lay out plantings so water moves away from your foundation.
Our Process & What It Costs
We walk your property, I listen, and give an honest plan and number. No sight-unseen quotes — cost depends on bed size/number, plant material (mature specimens cost more), prep/soil work, and drainage complexity. Honest scope: big hardscape builds and structural retaining walls are better handled by a dedicated specialist, and I'll tell you so.
